アレッサンドラとミケーレ（ポストパンク・アクトHapaxの元シンガー）からなるイタリアのナポリを拠点とするエレクトロニック・デュオ。
コールドウェーブのサウンドパラダイムと中世のフォーク要素を融合させ、圧倒的なエレクトロニクスと重く残響するヴォーカルラインによって、重層的なメランコリックサウンドを構築している。
歌詞の大部分は古い北欧詩にインスパイアされているが、イギリスのロマン派にもある程度は影響を受けている。

Varg i Veum is an electronic duo based in Naples, Italy consisting in Alessandra and Michele (former singer of post-punk act Hapax).
The band combines coldwave’s sonic paradigm with medieval folk elements, to build a multilayered melancholic sound through domineering electronics and heavily reverberated vocal lines.
Thanks to Alessandra’s solid academic background in Germanic philology, the lyrics are largely inspired by the old norse poetry, but also by English romantics to some extent, restoring with new verses the ancient rhymes in a desolate monological maelstrom.
